2008 Pinewood Derby

Another cub scout pinewood derby has come and gone. This year Tristen won first prize for the Webelos group and came in third overall. Tristen invited his best friend Alan and  brother Jay who also participated. Samantha was very excited to race her own car in the open races where she also did well. This year’s pinewood derby was well attended with at least twenty-five different cars racing head to head. Popcorn and soda was served and everyone seemed to have a great time.

We were so excited for Tristen this year because he came up with the design for his car completely on his own. This made it even more special when he took first prize in his division because he didn’t even place last year. We are so thankful that we have a strong scouting program in our church and enjoy the fun family centered activities.
