Marissa’s Daddy Daughter Day

This past weekend was a busy one. Heather and Samantha were at church all day for the annual Relief Society craft day and Tristen had a service project with the boy scouts. That left Marissa and I with the day totally to ourselves. We had a great time too. We decided to go to the zoo but instead of taking our normal route, we thought it would be nice to start in the botanical gardens. It was a beautiful day and Marissa enjoyed reading the map and telling me where to go.

Marissa’s Christmas Concert

Marissa’s school put on a Christmas concert this year which was a lot of fun. I couldn’t believe how many parents, relatives, and friends were able to be there in the middle of the day. The children were gussied up in their best dress and sang several songs that praise Christ.

Marissa couldn’t see us from the stage no matter how hard we tried to get her attention. I could see her mouthing “Where is mommy?” It was great to finally see her once she was off stage and enjoy some Christmas cookies and punch. Marissa loves music and singing and it was a nice experience for her and our family.
